The mission of Augusta University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is to ensure that its athletic programs are operated in conformance with the overall institutional mission. The Head Coach of Women's Golf will administer, coordinate, and supervise the division, including Women's Golf programs.
The duties include, but are not limited to:
COACHING: Recruiting and scouting student athletes to maintain a competitive team. Developing a good relationship with coaches and contacts of high schools, junior colleges, clubs, and community-sponsored groups. Contacting and evaluating local, state, national, and international perspective student athletes. Conducting official and unofficial visits on campus. Maintaining knowledge of NCAA recruiting rules to pass the annual certification test and coordinating recruiting efforts with NCAA Compliance Officer as required. Instructing student athletes during practice sessions, team and individually. Monitoring and reviewing student-athletes' progress reports of each professor in a timely manner, consistent with the athletic departmental procedure, and maintain a level of sensitivity toward class absenteeism. Attending seminars and conferences, conducting public speaking and appearances, and involving the team in fundraising and community activities.
OTHER: Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline with three years of previous instructing and/or coaching experience at the collegiate level and/or professional golf experience. NCAA Coaching Certification required.
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong prioritization and organizational skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Shift: Days; M-F (Work outside of the standard business hours may be required)
Pay Band: B13
Salary: $68,500/annually-$87,300/annually
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
