Carlow University Athletics is seeking a highly motivated individual for the job of Head Coach, Women's Soccer. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletics and is responsible for the management of all aspects of an NCAA Division III Athletic program including: implementing, communicating, and directing procedures and processes for the recruitment of new student-athletes, establishing and running of team/individual camps; and other duties assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Duties include, but are not be limited to: game coaching, recruitment of student-athletes, scheduling, practice sessions, team travel, supporting student-athletes and the supervision of assistant coaches.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Ability to physically demonstrate complex movements and skills required.
• Candidate must have demonstrated success in a Women’s Soccer program at the college or an equivalently high level, including evidence of successful student retention and team success.
• Candidate must demonstrate the ability to recruit, motivate and develop Division III student-athletes using knowledge of the sport and a verifiable ability to teach both fundamentals and strategies of the sport
• Experience working with scouting services and coaches
• Experience promoting camps
• This person must possess a working knowledge of NCAA rules, a commitment to high academic standards, and the NCAA Division III philosophy. A successful candidate will have a reputation of integrity. Carlow University is a member of the NCAA Division III and the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC). This position will also assist with special projects and event management as needed.
Position Duties:
• Oversee all on-campus aspects of recruiting for Women’s Soccer.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive recruiting strategy.
• Identify and evaluate potential recruits by attending high school and junior college events.
• Create relationships and databases with high school, junior college, and club coaches
• Other job duties as assigned
