QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree required. Master’s degree preferred.Prior successful experience, 3-5 years, in coaching on a high school or intercollegiate level required. Knowledge of recruitment strategies for non-scholarship student athletes desirable. Candidate should possess strong analytical and communication skills and have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with various constituent groups. Demonstrated organizational skills; strong vision and leadership skills required. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong Christian faith, a commitment to the University's Mission, and a demonstrated commitment to that faith, through his/her professional responsibilities, relationships and the mentoring of students.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Head Coach will oversee the women’s intercollegiate wrestling program at the University, assume primary responsibility for the development and implementation of a successful wrestling program, including the recruitment, coaching, scheduling, mentoring and personal development of student athletes associated with a NCAA Division III program. The position will be shared with the Admissions Office with some out of season duties related to overall recruitment of students to the University. Applicants must show willingness to advance the mission of Waynesburg University while adhering rules and polices established by Waynesburg University as well as NCAA Division III and Presidents’ Athletic Conference policies and rules.
