Head Cross Country/Assistant Track & Field Coach (Full-Time)

Position Summary

Bethel University invites applications for a full-time Head Baseball Cross Country/Assistant Track & Field who is committed to advancing the University's Christ-centered mission through excellence in intercollegiate athletics. The Head Cross Country/Assistant Track & Field Coach provides visionary leadership for a competitive cross country program while intentionally discipling and mentoring student-athletes to grow spiritually, academically, athletically, and personally. This coach will also serve as a member of the track & field coaching staff as the distance coach.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the Head Cross Country/Assistant Track & Field Coach is responsible for all aspects of the cross country program, which competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA). Track & Field duties will involve leading the distance group while offering support to the Head Track & Field Coach. The successful candidate will embrace Bethel's commitment to biblical truth, community, and leadership development.

Essential Responsibilities

Program Leadership & Spiritual Formation

  • Lead the cross country/track & field programs in a manner that reflects Bethel University's Christ-centered values, emphasizing servant leadership, integrity, humility, and accountability.

  • Model an authentic Christian faith and integrate discipleship, prayer, and mentorship into the daily life of the program.

  • Establish and sustain a positive, growth-oriented team culture that supports both competitive excellence and spiritual development.
