Head Cross County Coach, USCA Athletics
The University of South Carolina Aiken, an NCAA Division II Institution and member of the Peach Belt Conference, is seeking a Head Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Coach. The Head Coach, Cross Country is responsible for providing coaching expertise, leadership, management, rules compliance and administration of all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division II program resulting in a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for student-athletes. Minimum Qualifications: Requires a bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and/or experience. Preferred: Master’s degree; Minimum five years of collegiate coaching experience; Experience in NCAA DI or DII and recruiting experience in southeast region. This is a 12.0 month full-time position. Responsible for recruiting, training, teaching and instructing all aspects of an NCAA DII level program, including practice and play schedules as defined by NCAA rules.

Conduct all aspects of the program within the rules, regulations, compliance and procedures of the NCAA, Peach Belt Conference, Department of Athletics policy manual and the University’s processes and procedures. Knowledge and understanding of all eligibility and recruiting requirements for NCAA, PBC and USCA admissions standards. Maintain accountability for scholarship limits. Manage all recruiting efforts and make scholarship recommendations.
