Head Cross Country Coach
Duties include, but are not limited to management and development of all aspects of a collegiate Cross Country and Track program: coaching, recruiting, scouting, scheduling, budget and scholarship management, supervision of assistant/student coaches, academic monitoring, development of team policies and procedures, development and implementation of off-season conditioning, knowledge of and adherence to college, conference, and NAIA rules and regulations, as well as marketing and fund-raising for the program.

Head Cross Country Coach
Duties include, but are not limited to management and development of all aspects of a collegiate Cross Country and Track program: coaching, recruiting, scouting, scheduling, budget and scholarship management, supervision of assistant/student coaches, academic monitoring, development of team policies and procedures, development and implementation of off-season conditioning, knowledge of and adherence to college, conference, and NAIA rules and regulations, as well as marketing and fund-raising for the program.
Secondary Duties:
1. Committee assignments within the athletic department
2. Responsible for care of equipment and facilities being utilized
3. Provide reports and information as requested to Athletic Director and Campus administration
4. Formulate objectives for upcoming season
5. Evaluate current/past season performance
• Bachelors degree required;
• Must possess an ability to work in an environment where the education, welfare, and graduation of student-athletes receive primary emphasis;
• Proven managerial and fiscal skills required;
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate and develop a culture of excellence;
• Must follow all rules and regulations of the College, NAIA, and HEART athletic conference.
• Previous coaching experience at the college and/or high school level preferred.
Lifting/Pushing/Pulling:
Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull cross country equipment varying in weight. Must be able to lift and carry boxes/packages as needed. Must be able to push and pull file cabinet/desk drawers open and close daily.
Body Positions/Movements:
Sits in a chair at a desk for approximately 4-6 hours each workday; stand 3-4 hours a day while instructing and coaching; moves from office to office and building to building. Must be able to retrieve items/supplies on overhead shelves and bend/stoop to reach files located in bottom file cabinets. Must be able to demonstrate various techniques while coaching cross country on a daily basis.
Hand Use/Sense:
Must be able to call plays, using hand movements and fingers. Must be able to coach technique classes by demonstrating different cross country techniques. Must be able to use calculator, telephone, typewriter/keyboard and various office machines on a daily basis and be able to write. Must be able to communicate both in person and on the telephone, enter information on the computer and read various instructions given to them. Must be able to hear signals called by the athletes and the referees during games and practices. Must be able to observe student athletes while giving instructions.
MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
The mental requirements for this position may include, but are not limited to, basic mathematics, reading, remembering, and reasoning skills to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of this position.
