Apply NowThis is a part-time, 10-month position. For part-time employees, total hours worked must be equal to or less than (29) hours per week. Upon a successful evaluation, you will be considered for contract renewal. Evening and weekend work is required as job duties demand.
SALARY -$20,000
JOB SUMMARY :
Under the direction of the Director of Athletics, the individual is responsible for the successful operation, coordination, management, evaluation and supervision of all aspects of the NCAA Division III Women’s Field Hockey program. This includes supervising all practices and contests, recruiting academically and athletically qualified student-athletes, and conducting all activities within the rules and regulations of Ramapo College, the NCAA, NJAC, and other conferences.
DUTIES** :**
Raise funds as necessary and coordinates with the Office of Institutional Advancement and the Athletic Director.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand for extended periods of time, and assist in setting up game/field equipment.
Must be able to demonstrate sport specific skills and actively participate in practice activities.
Have knowledge of and ability to instantly implement Athletics’ Emergency Medical Plan.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics
Serves as Athletic Facilities Supervisor when necessary
Required to work Saturdays, Sundays and evenings as needed
Meet with Athletic Director or his designee bi-weekly to discuss progress and problems.
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES** :**
Must demonstrate excellent leadership, organization, communication and interpersonal skills, as well as computer skills.
Must pass the NCAA Coaches exam with an 85%
First Aid / CPR / AED Certified
Certified Van / Transportation Safety
EDUCATION** :** Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE** :** Successful collegiate or high school coaching experience preferred.
