Hiram College is seeking a Head Coach of Football. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the Hiram Colleges Football program, to include successfully organizing and implementing a recruiting/retention plan, integrating the program into the campus community, developing a vibrant summer camp program, supervising practice/contests, management of program budget, fundraising to support program and supporting student-athlete success.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages all aspects of the team, including recruiting high caliber football student athletes, practicing, competing, and scheduling
Develops and implements an effective recruitment program, in coordination with the Admission Office, to attract a diverse group of outstanding student-athletes from NE Ohio and beyond
Adheres to all policies, rules and regulations of the College, the Athletic Department and the NCAC/NCAA
Provides guidance and support to student-athletes towards achieving their greatest potential both academically and athletically
Manages a fiscally sound budget, including assisting in fundraising to expand the budget
Monitors class schedules, grades and student-athlete academic progress
Coordinates with the Director of Athletics the hiring of Assistant Coaches/Graduate Assistants and/or Interns, and the ongoing supervision of the staff
Contributes to the fundraising activities of the program, which includes developing and maintaining alumni relationships and engagement with the efforts to increase budgets annually
The head coach will be responsible for all aspects of the development and operation of a successful summer camp program.
Participates in the annual Day with Hiram Golf Outing
Involves evening and weekend hours

This is a 10-month full time staff position
Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to interact professionally with all students, faculty, staff, alumni and guests of the college. High comfort and skill set in public speaking
A clear leader who can articulate a vision and create passionate support for such vision within the Hiram College community and beyond
Attention to detail and strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills
Strong computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of all NCAA Division III rules
Valid Ohio Driver’s License
First Aid, AED & CPR certification required
Experience:
Three to Five years collegiate coaching, or head coaching experience preferred
Recruiting experience preferred
Summer camp/club experience preferred
Collegiate basketball experience preferred
Experience working with and advocating for a highly diverse population of student-athletes
Experience in developing or implementing student-athlete retention plans
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Master’s Degree preferred
