PRIMARY DUTY: The Head Football Coach will be responsible for developing the vision of the football program and provide leadership to attain that vision.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Manage and direct all aspects of the football program including on the field coaching
Is responsible for the recruitment of all team members
Administer all aspects of the football program including:
Is responsible for the supervision and development of Assistant Coaches, Graduate Assistants, & Student Employees
Assist the Director of Athletics with preparation of budget and scheduling
Engage in fund raising activities as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Certification/License: CPR certification every other year
Experience: Coaching on the collegiate level
Skills: Technical skills in the coaching of football
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position must work and travel nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. This position must purchase and maintain a cellular device and service that will be used for work functions. This position must be responsible for plan choices, calling areas, service features, terminations clauses, and paying for all charges associated with the cellular device and service.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and direct assistant coaches and graduate assistants
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
