The Ice Hockey Coach is a 12-month, full-time position that is responsible for all organizational, administrative, and coaching duties of the
ACHA
Division I Hockey program, including practice and skill session planning, organization, game schedules, video coordination, game management, recruiting coordination, budgeting, and compliance with all
OHIO
University and
ACHA
regulations. The Ice Hockey Coach also provides oversight of the Bird Arena Adult Hockey League (
BAHL
) program. Supervision includes one Assistant Ice Hockey Coach (Graduate
Assistant) and approximately 15 student employees. The Ice Hockey Coach is expected to promote and facilitate effective communication and collaboration across all efforts of the department and with University and community partners.

Effectively manage and lead the Ohio University
ACHA
Division I Ice Hockey program and supervise Assistant Ice Hockey Coach. Create a competitive schedule for each season by managing contracts with opposing teams and organizing game day operations, including but not limited to referees, scorekeepers, media ticket operations, game broadcast and other game day operations as necessary. Establish and maintain a positive culture that values and prioritizes accountability, learning and development, and student-athlete well-being. Coordinate with staff for effective risk management and safety practices throughout the rink and hockey programs. Maintain quality and inventory of team equipment needed to be successful. Manage and disseminate relevant team updates such as game results, team statistics, and league standings in a timely manner. Develop game themes and community engagement events to enhance the fan experience. Develop regular alumni communication and outreach. Maintain positive relationships with

STEWARDSHIP
: Manage resources and budgets associated with
OHIO
Hockey. Ensure travel is economically sustainable. Coordinate team transportation, meals, and lodging according to Ohio University purchasing policy and travel guidelines. Generate revenue through ticket sales and donor relations. Provide stewardship and drive donations for the
OHIO
Hockey foundation and scholarship accounts. Ensures that budgets comply with University and Department guidelines, policies and procedures. Develop and maintain annual records of participation, revenue generation and expenditures. Consistently monitors all revenue and expense and develops regular budget projections. Create avenues for engagement to drive donations to and awareness of foundation accounts. Assess ways to improve workplace productivity and processes for improvement.
