PRIMARY PURPOSE / POSITION SUMMARY :
The Head Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track Coach is a full-time position in the Department of Athletics. The position reports to the Director of Athletics. The Head Coach is sensitive to the needs of a diverse student body and is committed to assisting the Department of Athletics in enhancing and supporting the student development experience consistent with the mission of a Sinsinawa Dominican Catholic liberal arts university.

JOB COMPONENTS/PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Head Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track Coach is to model the university Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's Mission and Catholic and Dominican higher education.
Head Coach is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the men’s and women’s cross country and track programs, responsibilities including but not limited to: adhering to conference, NCAA, Title IX, Department of Athletics and University rules and regulations; directing and supervising the assistant coaching staff; identifying and recruiting academically and athletically qualified prospective student-athletes to maintain the roster range; managing the operating budget and agency account; developing the contest schedule; monitoring the student-athletes’ academic performance; coordinating team travel and meals; coordinating team transportation needs with the appropriate Department of Athletics staff; coordinating the purchase, distribution, collection and inventory of team uniforms, equipment and supplies; coordinating team fundraising; accepting and fulfilling other duties as assigned.
