The Head Golf Coach is responsible for various aspects of the Golf Program, such as recruiting within the school, scheduling opponents (in conjunction with the Athletic Director), training, and coaching team members, facilitating practice, fundraising, conditioning of athletes, supervision of athletes, maintenance of practice facility and equipment, award and maintain golf scholarships, budgets, and arrange travel and meals.

You will:
Adhere to and enforce all policies and procedures of the department, and the University, as well as the rules and regulations of NCAA Division II, NE10, and other authorities that affect the intercollegiate athletics program.
Establish and implement goals, objectives, and values for the program consistent with the mission of the University and the Department of Athletics.
Plan, direct and control the recruitment and selection of a diverse student-athlete population in accordance with University academic standards and the skill level of a successful Division II program.
Emphasize academic excellence, athletic competition, personal growth, and social development while providing student-athletes opportunity to build skills that prepare them for success both on and off the playing course.
Monitor and promote the academic progress and graduation of the student-athletes by working closely with the athletics academic support staff members and the University’s academic support staff.
Assist in the planning and preparation of an annual budget and be fiscally responsible working within the confines of a balanced budget.
Schedule and conduct championship and non-championship season contests as permitted by NCAA rules and regulations.
Plan, schedule, and conduct practices that incorporate sound motor learning principles and sport-specific techniques that support the physical and mental preparation of student-athletes for successful competition.
In conjunction with the Sports Performance unit of the Department, oversee the strength and conditioning of student-athletes to ensure they are physically prepared for competition to perform at maximum levels.
Work in consultation with the Sports Medicine unit of the Department to conduct all practices and competitions in such a manner that the welfare of the student-athlete is of paramount consideration.
Supervise assistant coach(es) and other support staff to ensure their compliance with applicable rules, policies and procedures.
Serve the University by becoming involved in University affairs and serving on University committees as requested.
Follow all administrative procedures established by the University and the Department of Athletics.

You need:
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred;
Prior NCAA coaching experience preferred;
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations;
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
A proactive customer service approach.
Valid driver's license.
Ability and willingness to travel, as needed.
Ability to work evening and weekends, as needed.
