The Head Men’s and Women’s Tennis Coach is responsible for administering all aspects of the varsity men’s and women’s tennis programs.

Essential Functions

Coaching 100%

• Oversee the preparation, execution, and follow-up of all organized activities of the varsity men’s and women’s tennis programs, including, but not limited to: practices, competition, team travel, and community service.
• Recruit qualified student-athletes through NCAA-permissible methods.
• Promote student-athlete retention and satisfactory progress through NCAA-permissible academic and athletic support.
• Efficiently manage administrative duties (scheduling, budget control, fundraising, etc.).

Experience and Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of three years of experience in collegiate tennis, intercollegiate athletics, and administration.
• Familiarity with NCAA governing rules.
• American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to coach and teach; appropriate knowledge and effective communication/interaction skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collegiate setting with enrolled and prospective students and their families, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and the greater College community.
• Excellent organization and planning skills, heightened awareness, and keen attention to detail.
• Commitment to professionalism and serving as a positive role model.
