| Job Summary |
We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Head Men’s Golf Coach. This position is housed in the Athletics Department and will report to the Deputy Athletics Director and ultimately the Athletic Director. It is the responsibility of the Head Men’s Golf Coach to design, organize, implement, facilitate, oversee and evaluate all facets of a Big Sky, NCAA Division 1 golf program. Several components of this job include: recruiting, scheduling, fundraising and public appearances. This position provides monitoring, educational and supervisory components. This position will work closely with the athletic department support staff; Strength & Conditioning, Sports and Recreation, Compliance, Academics, Athletic Training and Business Office. This position must function within a shared facility structure and will work collaboratively with relevant constituent groups.
It is the responsibility of the Head Coach to study and have a working knowledge of the policies and procedures integral to the university, Big Sky and NCAA rules compliance. The Head Coach must have experience in teaching skills to low handicap student-athletes as well as improvement strategies for those holding mid-range handicaps. Will direct, develop and manage the Golf program including but not limited to: talent evaluation, recruiting, training and development of student athletes within the team concept, scheduling, budget management, supervision of program volunteers and working with those that monitor academic progress and initial and continuing eligibility of the team members. Will also fund-raise for the men’s golf program and perform other duties as assigned by the athletics director.

| Conditions of Employment |
Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification within the first 60 days of employment. Must be able to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification exam within the first 60 days of employment and annually thereafter.
This position, during the course of university employment will be involved in the receipt of, or accountability for, university funds or other items of value, as well as the unsupervised access with the developmentally disabled, vulnerable adults or children under the age of 16. The offer of employment is contingent upon successful completion and passing of a background check prior to beginning employment.
