Job Description:

Campus Title: Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach

Budget Title : Coach SL-3

Unit: Intercollegiate Athletics

Professional Rank and Salary Range:  $58-63K

Duration: 12-month contract, 10-month obligation

Brief Description of Duties:

SUNY Morrisville seeks candidates for the full-time position of Head Men's Ice Hockey Coach.  Coaching duties include management of the college's NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey team including recruitment and retention of team members, practice and game preparation, scheduling, and travel needs.  The position is responsible for the hiring and supervision of Men's Ice Hockey staff in the program. The position will have a secondary duty outside of coaching in the athletic department which will help with the day-to-day operations or game-day management for the department. SUNY Morrisville competes in the State University of New York Athletic Conference. SUNY Morrisville is seeking candidates who have a demonstrated commitment to providing leadership in building competitive, academically focused and community minded environments.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

·         Bachelor's degree

·         Strong knowledge and understanding of NCAA Men's Ice Hockey rules and regulations

Preferred:

·         Previous NCAA coaching experience

·         Familiarity with New York and regional recruiting

·         Current CPR/AED/First Aid Certification
