POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee all aspects of the volleyball program within the guidelines set forth by Loras College, The College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin and the National Collegiate Athletic Association--Division III intercollegiate volleyball program.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Given that the College is a diocesan Catholic college, will carry out your functions of your position in support of the College's Catholic Identity, mission and in support of Church teachings.
  • Oversee the identification, evaluation, and recruitment of potential football student-athletes.
  • Monitors the academic progress of each football student-athlete in the program.
  • Coordinates the physical development of each student-athlete through appropriate condition, strength, and practice sessions.
  • Recruits, hires and evaluates all assistant football coaches.
  • Directs and monitors the duties of the program's assistant coaches.
  • It is accessible to the media, alumni, boosters, and public to publicize and promote the program, in coordination with the Director of Athletic Communication.
  • Advises and counsels student-athletes academically, athletically, and socially.
  • Fiscally responsible for all areas of the football budget and football recruiting, including budget proposal, accounting, and expenditure.
  • Recommends and oversee the purchase of new football equipment, supplies, and uniforms.
  • Represents the College at American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) meetings.
