JOB PURPOSE :

The Head Men’s Volleyball Coach / Sports Information Assistant is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and coaching expertise to student-athletes within the men’s volleyball program while assisting with athletic communications and sports information operations. This position involves overseeing all aspects of the men’s volleyball program, including recruiting, player development, and program administration, while supporting the promotion of Keystone Athletics through game coverage, statistics, website updates, and media relations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement effective coaching strategies to enhance the performance and skill development of student-athletes in men’s volleyball.
  • Recruit, retain, and motivate talented student-athletes for the men’s volleyball program.
  • Plan and execute comprehensive practice sessions emphasizing skill development, physical conditioning, and teamwork.
  • Plan and coordinate team travel, competitions, recruiting, and other logistical aspects of the program.
  • Provide guidance and support to student-athletes in their academic and personal development while fostering a positive team culture.
  • Collaborate with the athletic department on fundraising initiatives, community engagement, and admissions events.
  • Serve as the Sports Information contact for assigned sports by maintaining statistics, writing game recaps, updating the athletics website, and assisting with social media and promotional efforts.
  • Assist with game management, live statistics, photography, livestreams, and other athletic communications responsibilities.
  • Site supervision and administrative duties as assigned.
