Within the framework of the Loyola University New Orleans mission of educating the whole person, the head men’s and women’s golf coach will fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to program and staff oversight, recruiting and developing student athletes, and promoting the program to the institution’s stakeholders. This is a 12 month position.
Coordinate with Assistant Vice President of Athletics about:
Drive van for competitions and/or practices, as needed.
Coordinate fundraising projects for program with Associate Athletic Director.
Represent the University at various public functions including university meeting and speaking engagements.
Assist in game management for on and off campus athletic events; work with Associate Director on operations of concessions for home games and events.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President of Athletics.
Evening and weekend work is required
Serve on Divisional or University committees as appointed.
Additional Responsibilities: - Assume the duties of the university Campus Security Authority (CSA), including but not limited to, reporting crimes as defined through the Cleary Act and providing annual reporting statistics. - Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - Must be able to drive/transport athletes. - Must be able to set up and take down golf equipment. Also able to lift, move, and carry up to 25lbs. - Ability to perform job duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
In accordance with the Campus Security Act as amended, Loyola University publishes annually and distributes to members of the academic community, and upon request to prospective (students/employees), an annual security report. That report includes current policies and procedures of the University Police Department for the reporting of campus crimes, notifying the campus community of occurrence of campus crimes, policies regarding access to campus buildings, the enforcement authority of the University Police Officers and their relationship to local police. University policies on the possession, use and sale of alcohol and illegal drugs are outlined. The Campus sexual Assault Program and policy is described. Campus crime statistics as defined under this law for the last three calendar years are included. A copy of this report may be secured from the (Office of Admissions), (Office of Human Resources), or from the University Police Department.
