Preferred 6-8 years of experience as a chef and previous management experience of staff, budgeting, and inventory. Previous experience working with sports teams is preferred. Nutrition certification or Registered Dietitian preferred.

| Position Summary |
The Head Performance Chef for Football Nutrition will assist the Director of Performance Nutrition for Football and Director of Culinary Operations in executing the nutrition program. The employee will need to be aware of the fueling needs of football athletes and have the ability to customize meals based on body composition goals, food allergies, and athletes’ preferences. They will maintain inventory levels at fueling stations, help the assistant director manage the shipping, receiving, and tracking of food products. The employee will assist in menu development & execution for on-site meals as well as team travel. Additionally, be knowledgeable in culinary terms, knife skills, and basic cooking techniques to lead cooking demonstrations for football athletes. The employee will also assist in managing catering events for football, assist staff members with daily team tasks and oversee morning and evening grab-n-go menus, distribution and quality control.

- Knowledge of NCAA rules, regulations, policies, and services.
- Knowledge of nutritional principles as they relate to sport and athletic performance.
- Knowledge of Health and Food Safety Codes for food preparation, storage, and serving.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with student-athletes, staff, and coaches.
- Previous experience developing menus and working with different caterers.
- Redesigning or developing educational handouts.
- Menu modification and development.
- Meal planning to meet athletes’ goals.
- Live meal coaching.

2. Aware of athletes training and physical demands to create menus to meet athletes nutritional needs
3. Ensure food safety for all menus including but not limited to food allergies, expiration dates, temperature control, etc.
4. Teach football athletes culinary skills to ensure proper education of basic cooking
