The Head Soccer Coach at SJU plays a crucial role in upholding the positive reputation of SJU Athletics by instructing, supervising, and influencing the conduct of student-athletes and assistant coaches. They work collaboratively with the Athletic Director and college administrators, fostering positive relationships with the team, student body, staff, and community. Prioritizing participant welfare during training and games, the coach also acknowledges gender differences to implement effective coaching for men and supports the academic and personal growth of student-athletes in line with Benedictine Values. All athletic department members must adhere to the philosophies and guidelines of SJU, MIAC, and NCAA Division III.

Head Soccer Coach
High level of competence, discretion, and confidentiality Physical Requirements:
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including leading players through training sessions, demonstrating techniques and skills
The role requires mobility across campus facilities and indoor/outdoor competition venues
Must be capable of lifting and transporting items weighing up to 50 lbs.
Ability to adapt to varying temperatures
Proficient in safely and efficiently operating college vehicles, and ability to complete College safety training programs, including defensive driving, within one month of hire; valid driver’s license required Travel Requirements:
Regular travel for games, recruiting, and other program-related activities
