EMPLOYMENT TERMS: Full-time position

PRIMARY DUTY: This position will serve as the Bearcat Cheerleading and Bearcat Dance Programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Serve as the Head Coach for the Bearcat Cheerleading and Bearcat Dance Programs by managing and directing all aspects of the spirit groups including training
• Be responsible for the recruitment of team members
• Administer all aspects of the spirit groups including recruitment and scholarship allocation, scheduling and operating practices and other events, budget management, fundraising, roster management, academic progress, team transportation, equipment and uniform care, etc.
• Coordinate and supervise any cheer camps/clinics and fundraisers sponsored by Northwest or conducted on campus for benefit of the Spirit programs or Athletics Department
• Supervise and direct assistant coaches, graduate assistants, or student assistants/managers
• Assist the Director of Athletics with budget preparation
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree
Experience: Experience in collegiate cheerleading/dance or experience in coaching cheerleading/dance
Skills: Knowledge and experience with cheers, stunts, and dance

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position must work and travel nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. This position must purchase and maintain a cellular device and service that will be used for work functions. This position must be responsible for plan choices, calling areas, service features, terminations clauses, and paying for all charges associated with the cellular device and service.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
