Title: Head Strength and Conditioning Coach
Department/Location: Hay/Crafton Athletic Center/Elsah
Organizational Relationships: Reports to Director of Athletics, works closely with all head coaches to determine their needs as well as Athletic Trainer to help recovering athletes return to the competitive arena.
Summary: The Head Strength and Conditioning Coach develops systematic training programs for teams and individuals to help them prepare for and maintain fitness during their season. This work includes preparing and adjusting work out plans, teaching and training weight room staff, assigning weight room staff to supervise particular groups, maintaining a safe training environment, teaching proper lifting techniques, supervising athletes, maintaining contact with out of season athletes, and assessing athlete preparation. Will assist a particular varsity sport program and travel with that sport team.
