Job Description

Description

New College of Florida is building something rare.

A public liberal arts college grounded in intellectual freedom, rigorous inquiry, and merit, New College is redefining the scholar-athlete model. We are seeking a Head Swim Coach who can build a program, recruit exceptional talent, and establish a culture of performance and accountability from day one.

The Role
The Head Swim Coach leads all aspects of the swimming and diving program—coaching, recruiting, and external engagement. You will set the standard, define the culture, and develop student-athletes who compete at a high level in both the pool and the classroom.

Examples of Duties

  • Build, sustain, and lead a competitive intercollegiate swimming & diving program
  • Design and execute training that develops disciplined, high-performing athletes
  • Oversee practice planning, meet preparation, and athlete development
  • Establish clear expectations, track outcomes, and drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure full compliance with institutional, conference, and regulatory requirements
  • Recruit, attract, and yield student-athletes aligned with New College’s academic and athletic standards
