Lake Forest College is accepting applications for the position of Head Swimming and Diving Coach. The position is a full-time, non-teaching faculty/administrative staff appointment with benefits. The chosen candidate will work as a member of the Forester athletic department “team” and support the mission and goals of the department and the College. The Foresters compete in the Midwest Conference and have a rich Tradition of Excellence, consistently finishing in the top three in the conference on both the men’s and women’s sides. The program has a strong foundation and is poised for continued success.
Responsibilities: This position, under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, provides opportunities and responsibilities that include, coaching and mentorship, recruitment and retention of qualified student-athletes, contest scheduling, budget & equipment management, strength and conditioning, and team trip planning/fundraising. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to, serving as the Aquatic Director, supporting academic success and health/well-being of student-athletes, leadership and career development, community and alumni engagement, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. Evening and weekend hours are required.

Apply NowQualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree and previous collegiate coaching, recruiting, and administrative experience preferred. An ideal candidate should demonstrate a strong commitment to working in intercollegiate athletics and to the principles that guide Division III athletics. Successful candidates will show the potential for collaborative leadership, high personal initiative, and commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusiveness. Candidates must have the ability to relate effectively to current and prospective student-athletes, exhibit strong time management and organizational skills, and demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as knowledge of NCAA and Midwest Conference rules and regulations.
