Coach, organize and administer their assigned program. Direct all aspects of team management including staff responsibilities, practice sessions, scheduling, travel, player academic progress, budget control, equipment, and public relations. Be knowledgeable and follow NCAA Division III and USA South Athletic Conference policies and procedures regarding intercollegiate athletics. Demonstrate a commitment to the athletics department mission and play an active role in the campus community. Head coaches report to the Athletic Director. This position is full-time, 10-months.

- Manage travel arrangements
- Develop a recruiting program that attracts quality student-athletes who will contribute to a competitive Division III program
- Counsel student-athletes regarding other issues related to the college experience in addition to their intercollegiate athletic responsibilities
- Order and maintain all equipment
- Oversee the program’s practice and competition facilities
- Organize pre-season and college break facilities and meals for student-athletes
- Prepare an annual budget that complies with the given parameters
- Participate in professional development activities and other required college functions
- Participate in staff meetings
- Promote the program in the community and with alumnae
- Collaborate with the Sports Information Director in reporting all relevant team information in a timely manner
- Other duties as assigned.
- Nights and weekend work are to be expected.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven recruiting skills and must have a commitment to student-athlete academic success and well-being.
- A minimum of four years women’s volleyball coaching experience with demonstrated success is required.
- Candidate must possess a thorough understanding and working knowledge of NCAA Division III regulations.
- Collegiate Coaching Experience required.
- NC Driver License and clean driving history is required.
- Nights and weekend work are to be expected.
