Grays Harbor College is accepting applications for a Head Coach for Intercollegiate Women’s Basketball. Under the supervision of the Athletic Director, this position oversees all aspects of the women’s basketball program in accordance with all athletic department, college, and Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) policies and regulations. The head coach has the ultimate responsibility for implementing a comprehensive collegiate basketball experience for student athletes that includes academic achievement, competitive athletics and opportunities to pursue interests and passions. This is a part-time, non-tenure position and not eligible for benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the women’s basketball program, assistant coaches and student athletes in accordance with established conference rules and regulations including the oversight of all eligibility rules and regulations as established by the athletic department
  • Teaching basketball skills and strategies to prepare individuals and the team for intercollegiate competition
  • Recruit student athletes following NWAC regulations and college guidelines
  • Assist with the monitoring of student athlete’s academic progress
  • Assist in the development of a competitive schedule in collaboration with the Athletic Director and in alignment with budgetary guidelines
  • Provide post-season evaluation of all student athletes.
