Lycoming College is hiring a Head Women’s Basketball Coach! This position directly supports our Athletics department by being the one responsible for all aspects of Lycoming College’s NCAA Division III Women’s Basketball Program. This includes largely recruitment of student-athletes, conducting and supervising practices, as well as competitions and supervising a team of Assistant Coaches.

What will I do in this role?
Coaching: - Organizing and conducting practices, conditioning programs and competitive events while instructing student-athletes with sound principles and expert skills related to basketball. - Creating an annual schedule that includes a balance of home and away contests. - Managing an operating budget. - Participating in fundraising through the Warrior Club program and fundraising accounts. - Knowing and abiding by NCAA Division III regulations and Landmark Conference rules. - Maintaining current roster and working collaboratively with Director of Athletics, and Athletic Trainer. Recruiting: - Recruit student-athletes who meet the College’s admissions requirements and possess the potential to contribute to the team and add positively to the student body. - Represent the College at admission open houses and other events for prospective students. - Monitoring the academic success of student-athletes and collaborating regularly with the faculty and academic success team.

What are we looking for?
Education and Experience - Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred. - Minimum of at least 3 years coaching experience. Knowledge and Skill Set - Must have well-developed interpersonal skills. - Be able to work independently with minimal oversight. - Demonstrated ability with management skills to supervise student assistants. - Ability to maintain CPR/First Aid Certification - Pass the Open Books test for NCAA Division III regulations. - Successful completion of ACT 153 Clearances and Motor Vehicle Record check with an active driver’s license.
