In its history, DU has won 35 national championships and enables student-athletes to compete on 18 NCAA Division I teams. Position Summary
The Head Women’s Basketball Coach will be responsible for organizing and administering all aspects of the varsity program, including coaching, recruiting, event scheduling, supervision of program personnel, fundraising, marketing, budget management, and compliance with NCAA and West Coast Conference (WCC) rules and regulations. As the program transitions into competition within the WCC, the Head Coach will provide strategic leadership to ensure the team is positioned to compete successfully within the conference and represent the university at the highest level. The Head Coach will embrace and model a positive coaching philosophy and associated techniques, fostering a culture of respect, accountability, and positive communication while promoting collaboration with internal departments across the athletics division and the university. The Head Coach will also demonstrate an ongoing commitment to the principles of inclusivity through hiring practices, training and development programming, campus partnerships, and participation in university and divisional initiatives.

Work Schedule
This position requires the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Extensive travel is required for recruiting and competition. Work hours will vary based on the competitive season, recruiting calendar, and program needs.

Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $200,000-$300,000
The University of Denver has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, but not based on a candidate’s sex or any other protected status.
