The University of Connecticut is seeking applications for the full-time position of Head Women’s Diving Coach.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will coach and develop student-athletes; plan and direct the overall training strategy for the diving program; establish practice, training and competition plans; work with department support staff (strength/academic/medical) to ensure the wellbeing of the student-athletes; develop and implement a recruiting strategy; collaborate on fundraising efforts and alumni engagement, assist with facility operations, team travel and other duties as assigned by the Head Swimming and Diving Coach. The Diving Coach will be responsible for ensuring that student-athletes have a positive experience, and achieve and maintain peak performance, with minimal risk of injury. Recruiting responsibilities include: develop a recruiting plan; organizing official visits; prospect contacts and evaluations; recruiting database management and general recruiting and compliance responsibilities.

Apply NowMINIUMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, diving coaching experience; must have outstanding technical, tactical and strategic knowledge of diving; strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to work within a team and relate well to a diverse group of athletes, administrators, and University constituents; and have a strong commitment to the academic goals of the University.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree or equivalent work experience; previous collegiate coaching experience in the northeast region of the United States (within the past two years); knowledge of and prior experience recruiting Division I student-athletes; knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; excellent organizational, communication and public relation skills; Lifeguard, CPR/First Aid, USA Diving certifications needed at time of employment.
APPOINTMENT TERMS
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
