Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Elmira College was the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and is home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies. We are seeking a Head Flag Football Coach to join the Athletics team.

The Head Flag Football Coach plans and manages the newly created Elmira College Women’s Flag Football Team. These duties include player recruitment, player/team development including training, strategy and performance, prioritization of player safety and wellbeing, and fostering a positive team culture. The Head Flag Football Coach may also be responsible for budgeting team funds, creating team fundraising opportunities, and promoting the program.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Actively seek out and recruit new talent for the program by identifying potential players through outreach efforts, networking, and campus engagement. Establish and maintain open lines of communication with prospective athletes, providing them with information about the program, benefits of participation, and encouraging them to join
• Teaching the fundamentals of flag football including passing, blocking, and flag pulling techniques. Supervising and leading team practices while ensuring structure and organization of each practice. Offering mentorship and guidance during games ensuring that players understand strategy, teamwork, and maintaining high performance under pressure
• Overseeing all aspects of team operation such as managing team budgets, maintaining team facilities and preserving and tracking any equipment, materials, and inventory
• Planning fundraising events to support the program and promoting the program to facilitate campus engagement
• Abiding by league rules, regulations, and standard practices

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with Football or relevant sport coaching preferred

QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience with Football or relevant sport coaching preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Advanced knowledge of flag football and NCAA rules preferred
• Proficiency in computer programs used for coaching, recruiting, and performance analysis

WORK LOCATION: On-site (NOT REMOTE)

COMPENSATION: $6000.00

This position is non-benefit eligible.
