General Description of the Position

The Head Women's Lacrosse Coach at Delaware State University leads all aspects of the women's lacrosse program, overseeing recruitment, training, game strategy, and program administration.

Essential Functions
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:

  1. Recruitment: Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and recruit talented student-athletes to join the women's lacrosse program.
  2. Training: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to enhance the team's skills, conditioning, and performance.
  3. Game Strategy: Analyze opponents, develop game plans, and make in-game adjustments to maximize team success.
  4. Player Development: Provide individualized coaching and feedback to student-athletes to improve their skills and performance.
  5. Program Administration: Manage all aspects of the women's lacrosse program, including scheduling, budget management, compliance with NCAA regulations, and alumni relations.
  6. Academic Support: Support the academic success of student-athletes, monitoring their progress and providing resources for academic support.
  7. Community Engagement: Participate in community outreach activities, promoting the women's lacrosse program and fostering positive relationships with alumni, donors, and the community.
