Western Colorado University is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Head Women’s Soccer Coach.
Responsibilities: Responsible for providing leadership, planning, organizing and for administering all aspects of the Western’s Women’s Soccer program. The incumbent will be responsible for fostering and supporting student-athlete welfare, recruiting highly qualified student-athletes, practice scheduling and competitions, coaching student-athletes in practice and competitions, maintaining a strong academic environment, supervising coaching staff, maintaining budget, conducting and managing all facets of camps, cultivating alumni, direct involvement working with program-specific fundraising as well as participation in Athletic Department fundraising. Limited other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Three years collegiate Soccer coaching experience preferred. Knowledge of NCAA Division II Soccer practices and regulations, must become NCAA II recruiting certified, ability to establish good rapport and relationships with players, administrators, staff, alumni and the general public. Must have proven administrative, organizational and recruiting skills.
Compensation: Salary range of $55,000-$60,000. Position is eligible for an excellent benefits package including health and dental insurance plans with low co-pays and low out of pocket maximums, generous paid time off, a shared contribution retirement plan and, after one year of employment, tuition benefits.
