Job Description

Kenyon College invites applications for the position of Head Women’s Soccer Coach. This is a full time, 10-month reporting position with benefits. This coach will be responsible for running a NCAA D-III Women’s Soccer program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, NCAC, and Kenyon College policies and regulations. The Head Women’s Soccer Coach will work to fulfill the following responsibilities: recruiting student athletes, coaching student athletes, creating schedules, supervising an assistant coach, and managing a budget. Additional responsibilities will be assigned in game management, facility overview, teaching, and / or administration.

It is also expected that the Head Women’s Soccer Coach will embrace the department mission of fostering learning and developing community with a focus on the values of citizenship, competition, resiliency, sportsmanship, and teamwork within Kenyon’s unique campus culture. Successful candidates will be able to show a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in their support for students from diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, religious, and national backgrounds.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain a competitive program that is successful in NCAC play.
  • Preserve and uplift the academic priorities of Kenyon College.
  • Participate in the NCAC scheduling process and develop a strategy for non-conference.
  • Schedule practice times in conjunction with the Men’s Soccer Coach and Facilities Director.
  • Provide opportunities for Assistant Coach, Captains and student-athletes to become scholars of the game of soccer.
  • Work with Athletics Communications to develop promotional and recruiting material.
  • Maintain a healthy communication with other departments on campus, particularly admissions.
  • Participate in campus-wide events.
  • Recruit academically and athletically strong applicants for admission to the selective, highly competitive application pool at Kenyon College utilizing ARMS software, including preparing promotional materials.
  • Maintain excellent record keeping for all purchases and expenses for the program, to stay within the budget.
  • Inventory and safety check all soccer specific equipment and uniforms.
