Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate Athletic Director, the Head Women’s Soccer Coach is responsible for the management of the Women's Soccer program, which is NCAA Division I program in the Big West Conference. The incumbent hires and supervises assistant coaches; oversees practice and game day coaching; identifies, evaluates, and recruits academically qualified student-athletes, and monitors their academic progress.

  • Maintains a team Academic Progress Rate at 985 or above the NCAA minimum requirements; develops a competitive schedule; and adheres to university and departmental practices relating to expenditures.
  • Cultivates and maintains effective relations with students, parents, faculty, staff, media, and friends of the university.
  • Plays a leadership role in marketing, fundraising and revenue generation for the program, department, and University.

  • As a leader, demonstrates a commitment to student success that is mission aligned with the university’s vision, values and priorities. Establishes an ethical and collegial work environment, promoting a collaborative, accountable and inclusive team.
