This position directs, provides leadership, and oversees all coaching duties for the Women’s Soccer program which operates under
NCAA
Division II and
RMAC
operating bylaws and regulations. Directs and coordinates all aspects of recruitment and training for athletic competition, and oversees the planning and fiscal management of program activities.
Organizes, prepares, and conducts individual and team practices, training and competition.
Recruits student-athletes in accordance with
NCAA
and
RMAC
rules and regulations through scouting, attending tournaments, and home visits.
Directs all aspects, areas and components of the sports team.
Coordinates all strategic aspects of the specific sports program.
Represents sports program to various institutional programs and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the general public.
Manages all daily operations and coordinates all administration facets of the specific sports program.
Oversees all aspects of the financial operation of the specific sports program.
Organizes all fundraising activities of the specific sports program.
Arranges team competition schedule and team travel.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
Experience: Three (3) years coaching experience
Education: Master’s Degree in any field and collegiate coaching or playing experience
Experience: Five (5) years coaching experience at the collegiate level, or
Three (3) years coaching experience and a Coaching C License or higher
Must the
NCAA
Coaches Curriculum within the first two (2) weeks of employment
Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and odd hours as required.
Knowledge of applicable team or individual sports and playing rules;
Ability to lead and motivate student athletes;
Knowledge of
NCAA
student athlete academic eligibility requirements;
Demonstrated competitive coaching skills in area of sporting specialty;
Strong interpersonal and communications skills;
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;
Knowledge of
NCAA
recruiting rules;
Knowledge of travel/lodging planning and scheduling;
Ability to foster a cooperative work environment;
Ability to organize and coordinate;
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
