The Softball department at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time position as a Head Women’s Softball Coach. The anticipated start date is July 16, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary responsibility of the Head Women’s Softball Coach is to instruct student-athletes in the performance of the sport of softball. To that end, they are responsible for the organization, direction, and administration of the softball program, including the implementation and maintenance of standards of academic and athletic excellence. The Head Women’s Softball Coach must have a thorough knowledge of and commitment to compliance with the rules, regulations and policies of Morehead State University and the NCAA and Ohio Valley Conference.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and coaching experience. Equivalent experience may be substituted for coaching experience. Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance issues concerning the administration of intercollegiate athletics.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree. Excellent communications and organizational skills. Demonstrated ability to recruit student-athletes with potential for academic and athletic success.

They have downline supervision of Assistant Softball Coach and Graduate Assistants.
