_ Overview _

Mount Marty is pleased to accept applications for an exempt, full-time Head Women's Softball Coach. The Head Coach is responsible for organizing and directing all aspects of a successful and competitive women’s softball program in a manner consistent with the philosophy, rules and regulations of the university, the NAIA, and the GPAC.

_ Duties and Responsibilities _

• Direct a successful program and exercise supervision of the program in a manner which is in accordance with the philosophy, rules, and regulations of the university, the NAIA, and the GPAC.
• Recruit high quality, competent student-athletes, maintaining communication with the Admissions office. This will include knowing and informing potential student-athletes of eligibility, academic and university standards.
• Maintain a roster of approximately 35 student-athletes.
• Make a recommendations on the amount of athletic awards issued to each athlete.
• Assist student-athletes with their integration into the academic, spiritual, and social dimensions of Mount Marty University.
• Represent the university at appropriate community and sporting events.
• Assist in fundraising and engagement opportunities.
• Ensure appropriate time and resources are given to the Junior Varsity program.
• Complete the NAIA Coaching with Character exercise on a yearly basis.
• Work with the Athletic Director and Deputy Athletic Director to prepare and maintain a budget.
• Prepare a season schedule and submit it to the Athletics Director for approval.
• Work with the FAR to confirm the eligibility of athletes.
• Have a comprehensive academic monitoring program to ensure student-athlete success.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
• Experience in coaching high quality student-athletes
• Strong management and budgeting skills
• Commitment to the mission of Mount Marty University
