The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is one of the premier Division I schools in the country and one of four Division I schools in the state of Wisconsin. Currently,

NCAA

Division I level, with more than 300 student-athletes in the sports of men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s cross country, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, women’s volleyball, women’s tennis, and baseball.

Job Summary

In accordance with all

NCAA

, Conference, State and Institutional rules and regulations, the Head Women’s Tennis Coach will engage in the recruitment of student-athletes; practice and game planning; player skill development; scouting of opponents; community relations; office management and promotional activities. In addition, other duties as assigned.

The Head Women’s Tennis Coach shall know, recognize and comply with the laws, policies, rules and regulations governing University and its employees, and the rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (“

NCAA

”) and the applicable Conference, as now constituted or as they may be amended during the Term of this agreement. Employee shall take all reasonable steps to endeavor to ensure that all assistant coaches, and any other employees for whom Employee is administratively responsible, comply with aforesaid policies, rules, and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher

At least five (5) years of experience coaching tennis at the collegiate level

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated Practice Planning Experience

Experience managing administrative duties of a tennis program

NCAA

Division I coaching experience and familiarity with the

NCAA

rules

Demonstrated ability to recruit and retain student-athletes

Demonstrated ability to foster a positive environment for athletic & academic success

Target Salary Range

Salary will be commensurate with experience
