Linfield University is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our women’s tennis program as the Head Women’s Tennis Coach. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our tennis program within the competitive Northwest Conference and NCAA Division III.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership, organization, and supervision for all aspects of the women’s tennis programs.
Ensure compliance with NCAA Division III, Northwest Conference, and Linfield University rules and regulations.
Actively recruit academically talented student-athletes who will enhance the competitiveness of the program.
Manage the tennis budget following institutional and departmental guidelines.
Schedule competitions and coordinate team travel arrangements.
Conduct off-season training sessions in compliance with NCAA and NWC regulations.
Promote a positive team image and support the holistic development of student-athletes.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the athletic director.
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree and at least three years of head collegiate tennis coaching experience, or equivalent education, coaching, and/or playing experience. CPR/First Aid certification (can be obtained on the job). Valid driver’s license.
Preferred: Previous coaching and recruiting experience at the NCAA Division III level. Master’s degree in a relevant field of study.

Experience in personnel management and supervision.
Commitment to the NCAA Division III philosophy and the role of athletics in a private, liberal arts university.
Willingness to engage in fundraising activities.
Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, alumni, staff, faculty, and administration.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking, standing, talking, seeing, and hearing.
Ability to physically demonstrate tennis techniques.
Occasional sitting and desk work.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree and at least three years of head tennis collegiate coaching experience, or an equivalent combination of education, coaching, and/or playing experience.
CPR/First Aid certification required (may be obtained on the job).
Valid driverâs license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous coaching and recruiting experience at the NCAA Division III level.
Masterâs degree in a relevant field of study.
