The Head Coach oversees all aspects of the collegiate program, including hires, supervises, and evaluates Assistant Coaches; identifies, recruits, and retains top prospective student-athletes; establishes a competitive schedule and coordinates team travel. The head women’s volleyball coach will plan practice and strategize for games.

The University reserves the right to change or assign other duties to this position.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES AND TASKS:

• Recruit Qualified and quality athletes – recruit academically qualified athletes that will elevate the program to the next level.
• Plan and Conduct Organized practices – plan and conduct practices to improve the quality of play.
• Scout Opponents/game plan – scout opposing teams and compose strategic game plan.
• Knowledge of NCAA and game rules – demonstrate proficiency in NCAA and game rules.
• Program administrative duties – plan practice, travel, meals, oversee academics, and complete other administrative duties as assigned.
• Coaching – demonstrate competency in planning and executing practice and game strategies.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Understand NCAA and game rules.
• Complete program administrative duties in a timely manner
• Budget for team expenses

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Strong Communication Skills

Strong Organizational Skills

Knowledge of College Athletics

EDUCATION/SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS

Required: N/A

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree

WORKING CONDITIONS

Weekends and evenings. Travel required. Recruiting year round.
