Position Description: Culver-Stockton College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Women's Volleyball Coach to lead our women's volleyball program. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the program, including coaching, recruiting, scheduling, and ensuring academic success and compliance with NAIA regulations. Responsibilities:
Coaching & Player Development:
Apply Now- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance individual and team performance.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes.
- Foster a positive and competitive environment
Recruitment:
- Identify and recruit talented student-athletes.
- Build relationships with high schools, club teams, and prospective student-athletes.
- Ensure compliance with NAIA recruiting guidelines.
Program Management:
- Manage the women's volleyball budget effectively.
- Schedule practices, matches, and travel arrangements.
- Oversee the maintenance and inventory of equipment and facilities.
Academic Support:
- Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes.
- Promote a balance between athletics and academics.
- Advocate for the academic success of student-athletes.
Community Engagement:
- Represent the women's volleyball program within the college and in the community.
- Participate in fundraising, alumni relations, and promotional activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required and/or coaching/playing at an elite level of competition, Master’s Degree preferred.
- Qualified candidates will have experience as a successful collegiate/pro volleyball player.
- Previous college coaching is preferred, preferably 2 years or more.
- Previous experience in recruiting qualified student-athletes is preferred.
- Must have the ability to work effectively with students and colleagues and have a strong commitment to undergraduate liberal arts education.
- Experience working with diverse individuals and groups.
- PC skills including, but not limited to, word processing and spreadsheets, knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher, Internet and e-mail.
