Midway University, located 14 miles outside Lexington, KY, is actively seeking a full-time head coach to lead our women’s soccer program. This is a full-time 12-month position that reports directly to the Vice President of Athletics and Student Affairs.
Key responsibilities include the following:
Recruiting to achieve roster goals, competitive success, and academic performance in accordance with admissions procedures and scholarship requirements.
Organizing, scheduling, and leading daily practice sessions, game plan preparation and strategy, competitions, and off-season training.
Coordinating travel arrangements for away contests.
Supporting academic progress and enforcing discipline and sportsmanship behavior.
Hiring, supervising, and evaluating assistant coach and program volunteers.
Budgeting, fundraising, promoting and marketing the program.
Secondary responsibility includes care and maintenance of our practice field
Adhering to Midway University, Rivers States Conference, NAIA, and any other appropriate governing body policies and procedures
Additional duties may be assigned by the Athletic Department.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
Demonstrated coaching experience is required, with head or assistant collegiate-level experience preferred.
Familiarity with and working knowledge of NAIA rules, along with a strong commitment to compliance, are essential.
Availability to work evenings and weekends, as well as travelling for games away, is required.
