Job Description

This position provides leadership for the students/athletes who participate in varsity sports and physical education at University of Saint Joseph.  The position calls for the person to generate enthusiasm for the sport and teach a team and a sportsmanship approach to students. 

  • Administers and develops all aspects of the NCAA Division III women’s lacrosse program including: recruiting, retention, technical and tactical development of the team, in season conditioning programs and training, scouting, supervising assistant coach, maintaining budgets and fundraising
  • Provide a positive role model and leadership to the team, as well as excellent communication skills
  • Plan season competition schedule, coordinate travel, plan and conduct practices.  
  • Effectively interact with a wide variety of people in a manner that positively portrays the University and its programs, personnel, and mission.  Maintain a high level of professionalism on and off the field toward student-athletes, other coaches, parents, administrators, and members of the community.
  • Monitor and manage the women’s lacrosse budget and program resources.  
  • Participate in department fundraising initiatives. 
  • Ensures compliance with all University, GNAC and NCAA Division III rules and regulations
  • Perform game management duties in off season.
