Maintain turfgrass and perform general athletic field maintenance.
Mix and apply athletic field marking paint and marble dust to athletic and intramural fields, in accordance with
NCAA
regulations.
Install, repair, and perform general maintenance of irrigation systems.
High school diploma or equivalent
Six months experience in grounds maintenance, landscape/lawn maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.
Six months athletic field experience preferred.
Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position:
Criminal History check, Driver's license, Missouri license required

Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance
Ability to read, interpret, and apply
NCAA
provisions for proper field markings.
Ability to mix paints to ensure the brightness of lines.
Ability to formulate fertilizer.
Ability to read, comprehend, and apply manuals, labels, and written instructions.
Basic mathematical skills.
Excessive standing and/or walking, Exposure to extreme temperatures, Exposure to fumes and/or chemicals, Exposure to loud noises, Lifting (weight) - 50 lbs
Incumbent will work outside in all temperatures dealing with horticultural duties, removal of snow, ice, and debris.
Uniform required, Irregular work hours, Work in stressful conditions
Incumbent will work weekend and evening athletic events, as scheduled.
