Job Description

Sun Devil Athletics is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Laundry Aide. The position will be responsible to wash, dry, fold/hang, and transport uniforms and clothing used for sports practices and competitions. This position adheres to NCAA and Big 12 rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the university and the Arizona Board of Regents.

Essential Duties

• Transport laundry to and from athletic facilities.
• Wash, dry and fold/hang laundered items.
• Maintain clean working environment.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and no more than an average of 19 hours per week.
• Comply with NCAA and Big 12 rules and regulations as well as departmental and university policies.

Minimum Qualifications

No prior experience required.

Desired Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience washing, drying, folding and hanging laundry.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends.
• Must be available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week and no more than an average of 19 hours per week.
• Must be able to comply with NCAA and Big 12 rules and regulations as well as departmental and university policies.

Working Environment

• Activities are performed in an environmentally controlled facility and are subject to extended periods of standing and walking moderate distances to perform work.
• Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds.
• Commercial washer and dryer used.
• Common laundry detergent and supplies used.
• Schedule may include afternoons, nights, and weekends.
• Schedule is limited to 19 hours per week.
