| Position Summary |
Provide academic support for academically at-risk student-athletes on an individualized basis with an emphasis on academic skill development. The Learning Specialist functions to ensure assigned students understand assignments in their courses, help them to develop an organizational system that will facilitate success in their courses, assist students in areas where there are some cognitive deficiencies, and help coordinate with assigned counselors, assistant learning specialists, tutors, and mentors to make sure they are receiving proper academic assistance. After each appointment, Learning Specialists will log a report detailing what took place during each session to ensure compliance with UGA, UGAAA, SEC, and NCAA rules and regulations. Regular bi-weekly evening and occasional weekend work.

- Assist with onboarding, initial training, and continuing training for Assistant Learning Specialist and Mentoring programs.
- Manage bi-weekly payroll for Assistant Learning Specialists and Mentors.
