Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a LEARNING SPECIALIST to coordinate all aspects of the athletic academic mentoring program. To assess student-athletes’ academic abilities. To ensure successful matriculation through the university course of study by athletes who are gifted learners or those who exhibit learning difficulties/disabilities. To maintain confidential files for student-athlete diagnostic testing and academic performance. To adhere to all institution, conference, and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations. To report all NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines.

Qualifications
Bachelors’ degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements
