Ohio Athletics is seeking a graduate assistant to provide academic support to student-athletes. The position responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist in recommending and implementing time management and organizational tools to assists student-athletes in their academic coursework. Assist in the development and execution of structured study hall for academically at-risk student-athletes. Assist academic staff and student-athletes in organizing tutoring sessions with tutors from the Allen Academic Achievement Center. Assist in collecting weekly grades from student-athletes. Assist the academic staff with our academic software (Teamworks), assist the student-athletes in utilizing Teamworks. Bachelor’s degree required from an Accredited College or University. Applicants must be admitted to the Educational Studies graduate program with the College of Education at Ohio University. Enroll in a minimum of 12 graduate credit hours per semester as a full-time student and maintain the required g.p.a within that particular college. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment. Ability to work 20 hours per week, evenings and weekends may be required.
