Linebackers Coach

Hopkins Athletics is a multidivisional department with 22 programs competing at the NCAA Division III level and two programs (men’s and women’s lacrosse) competing at the NCAA Division I level (BIG 10 Conference). Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Recruit specific areas of the country (CA/KY/IL/IN)

• Develop and implement a recruiting schedule and recruiting budget for the areas assigned by the Recruiting Coordinator.
• In-Season: Submit Daily Contact Sheet.
• Post-Season Recruiting: Submit a Travel Itinerary including the number of weeks “on the road” (mid-November until Holidays), schools and recruits to be visited, and hotel and rental car needs.
• Present travel recruiting budget to Head Football Coach, receipt of all expenses, and provide a short write-up on every recruit met.

Winter Recruiting

• Must be present and invite prospective students to Recruiting Weekends.
  
• Work all Recruiting Weekends: Last 2 weekends in January, first 3 weekends in February.
  
• Before visits, submit to the Head Coach, the Recruiting Contact Sheet and Unofficial Transcripts on all visiting prospects.
  
• If prospects are arriving by train or plane, you must know their methods of transportation to campus.
  
• Official Visits must be presented to the Head Coach for approval.
  
• Will help co-coordinate all film-related duties in regard to film capture, uploading, and exchanging via Hudl.
  
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Physical Effort/Environment

• General office, athletic facility, and campus environment.
• The position will require working outside and in inclement weather.
• Position involves sitting, although frequent movement is necessary.
• Walking, standing, bending, twisting, and occasional lifting are required.
• Computer usage involving repetitive and/or wrist motion is required.
• The position will be a part-time, fiscal year appointment, with frequent evening and weekend work required throughout the year with dates to be determined by a supervisor.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Operates on turf, grass, gymnasium, and in training rooms.
• General open office and campus environment.
• Position involves sitting, movement, and lifting equipment with weight up to 75 - 100 pounds.
• Frequent travel and early morning/evening/weekend work are required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  
• Travel is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a vehicle is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience recruiting at a high academic institution is preferred.

Education and Experience Equivalency
