The university is accepting applications for a Maintenance Assistant. This position will Assist the Maintenance Crew Leader with the set-up and tear-down of events, including basketball, and volleyball games and practices, meetings, conferences, receptions, dances, banquets, and dinners with up to 4000 attendees. Will assist with the installation & removal of the portable basketball floor, multiple College & High School graduations, and portable staging & platforms for various events, which also requires the operation and use of a forklift. Perform minor maintenance with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, door hardware, picture hanging, and furniture repair & moving throughout the Athletic facilities as needed — additional maintenance duties as assigned.

A valid driver’s license
Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Climb & perform work on step & extension ladders and work on feet 100% of the time each day
General knowledge of electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills required as well as working knowledge of hand and power tools is a necessity
Forklift Certificate, Aerial lift Certificate preferred
